Home Energy Score is a US Department of Energy program that provides a “miles per gallon” rating for homes. Residents receive a 1 – 10 score as well as home facts and recommendations for improving the home’s performance. BayREN currently offers a $200 assessment rebate for those who qualify.

Home+ is a BayREN program that provides up to $5,000 in rebates and qualified contractors to improve heating, air conditioning, insulation, water heating, and other systems in the home. The Home+ program also offers free consultations with an impartial energy expert through the Home Upgrade Advisor service.

BayREN provides assistance and incentives for home improvement projects that can reduce energy use and make homes more comfortable. This program is managed locally by regional energy networks and directed by the California Public Utilities Commission in collaboration with the California Energy Commission. Funding comes from utility customers under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission. Incentives are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and are effective until funding is expended or the program is discontinued. Programs may be modified or terminated without prior notice.
