HHW One-day Event Appointment Form

Fill out the form below to make an appointment and then you will receive a confirmation e-mail with the event's address (appointments are required in order to keep a steady flow of traffic). Space is limited and these events do fill up, so please register early. Your information will be kept confidential and will only be used by the Alameda County Household Hazardous Waste Program and StopWaste.

To make an appointment, select whether you want to book an appointment in English or in Spanish. The form will show available time slots, select a suitable time, submit your information, and we will send you an email confirmation with more details. 

Event Instructions:

• Stay in your vehicle. It is state law. Please place items in an unlocked trunk or back cargo space.
• Have your driver's license ready. We will scan your license to verify Alameda County residency. If your driver’s license doesn't have an Alameda County address, please show proof of residency by bringing a recent utility bill or a copy of a rental or ownership agreement.
• Businesses cannot participate in these events; find information about business hazardous waste disposal.

• Pest & garden products
• Batteries
• Light bulbs
• Paints and paint related products
• Electronics
• Propane tanks (up to 5lbs)
• Old medications and prescriptions
• Oil, gasoline, auto fluids (containers cannot be emptied and returned at one-day events)
• Cleaners
• Fire extinguishers
• Sharps containers

NOT Accepted at this Event:

• Treated wood waste including railroad ties, click for more information
• Asbestos
• Compressed gas cylinders other than propane
• Large appliances (such as air conditioners, refrigerators, stoves, washers, etc.)
• Construction and demolition waste
• Smoke detectors
• Explosives (such as ammunition, fireworks, marine flares, gunpowder)
• Radioactives
