Alameda County Waste Characterization Study 2000
In 2000, the Alameda County Waste Management Authority and Recycling Board conducted a solid waste characterization study to better understand the composition of solid waste generated and disposed in Alameda County, California. The study was designed to estimate the composition of solid waste generated in the county’s fourteen incorporated municipalities, two sanitary districts, and the unincorporated areas within the county, as well as the countywide aggregate composition.
