Alameda County WELO Documents
In 2015, the State of California enacted significant changes to the Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance. All jurisdictions must comply with the state WELO or adopt a more stringent version of the ordinance.
StopWaste's developed these resources as a service to its Member Agencies:
- Alameda County Model Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance (updated 8/2016). The state intends to update WELO every three years. Instead of adopting WELO directly, it may be simpler for local governments to adopt it by reference.
