Bay-Friendly Qualified Landscaper sealBay-Friendly Qualified landscape professionals have participated in one or both of the following comprehensive training programs and are enthused about offering a holistic approach to the design, construction or management of your landscape. They have had the instruction to help them work with nature to reduce waste, conserve valuable resources, and prevent pollution – nurturing a landscape that is as healthy as it is beautiful!

Please note that we train and qualify individuals, not companies.  In order to be qualified, participants have attended all classes and have passed a final exam.  They have learned about the Bay-Friendly approach to Landscapes and have demonstrated their knowledge by passing an exam.  We do not verify the implementation of these practices.

Qualified Professionals for Designing New Landscapes:
The first class of Bay-Friendly Qualified Landscape Professionals for designing new landscapes (or major renovations) have completed their training and demonstrated their understanding of the Bay-Friendly principles and practices.  They have also been trained on the resources and tools available for designing Bay-Friendly Rated Landscapes.  For more information on the training they have received please visit here.

Qualified Professionals for Maintaining Existing Landscapes:
Bay-Friendly Qualified Landscape Professionals for managing existing landscapes in a Bay-Friendly manner have been trained in Alameda County since 2007.  Starting in 2008, the Bay-Friendly Landscaping program for maintaining existing landscapes has also been offered in Marin and Contra Costa County. And new in 2010, we have professionals that have been qualified in Napa County.
