Under State law SB 1383 and the Alameda County Organics Reduction and Recycling Ordinance, all businesses, nonprofits, institutions, and multifamily properties in Alameda County (“sites”) must have compost (organics) and recycling collection service.
Complete the form below to submit proof that your site has the required compost and recycling collection services. Note: submitting proof of services will prevent future violations; it will not “clear” prior or existing violations unless proof is provided showing that services were in place prior to the date of your violation letter.
Proof of Service
Upload a copy of a recent bill or account statement to show proof that your site has the required compost and recycling collection service (screenshots or photos of statements are acceptable). If you don’t yet have a bill or account statement showing the new service, you may provide a confirmation email from your provider, or any other proof showing the ordered service. Note: photos of recycling and compost containers alone do not provide sufficient proof of service. Documentation must include the site name, site address, size of container(s), and frequency of collection.
