The Household Hazardous Waste program is sponsoring a free one-day event in Albany on Sunday, June 15, 2025.
We're sorry to let you know that the event is full, and we're no longer accepting registrations. However, there are other options available for you to dispose of your hazardous household waste. The Livermore, Oakland, and Hayward HHW Facilities are open on a weekly basis, providing a convenient and safe way to handle your hazardous materials.

Prepare For Your Appointment
- Pack your trunk. Place accepted materials in your trunk or back cargo space.
- Have your driver's license ready. We will scan your license to verify Alameda County residency. If your driver’s license doesn't have an Alameda County address, please show proof of residency by bringing a recent utility bill or a copy of a rental or ownership agreement.
- Stay in your vehicle. Our professional crew will unload and handle all the toxic materials, making it quick and easy for you. It's also state law.
- Alameda County residents only. Businesses cannot participate in these events; find information about business hazardous waste disposal.
