StopWaste Farm Partners

October 14, 2020

StopWaste works with urban farms and community gardens to fight climate change with carbon farming practices. Practices such as feeding the soil with compost and keeping unplanted areas covered help these communities grow healthy food and sequester carbon in the soil. In one project, Fremont Leaf sequestered 13 tons of carbon on an acre urban garden simply by following carbon farming practices. To learn more about local urban farming communities partnering with StopWaste, click here. Do you work with an urban farm or community garden? We'd love to listen to your story! Reach out to Trevor Probert at tprobert@stopwaste.org to start a conversation with us.
