Compost Hubs For Residents
Compost Hubs are sites that offer free compost to residents and provide educational resources on making and using compost. This service is free to all residents, and is not restricted to those living in Alameda County or in specific cities. Make sure to bring your own fillable containers. Compost Hubs are located at urban farms and spaces managed by community organizations, so make sure to check in and learn about the other services and volunteer opportunities they offer! StopWaste will continue to update this list as new Compost Hubs open.

Compost Donations for Community-based Organizations
StopWaste partners with urban farms, non-profit organizations, and community groups within Alameda County that grow food for residents. If your organization is interested in a small compost donation or assistance with on-site composting, please fill out the form below. We are unable to provide donations to home and school gardens. School gardens can contact their district garden program supervisor or their district's waste hauler for compost donations. We appreciate your understanding that filling out the form does not guarantee these services.
