The requirements and prohibitions contained within the Alameda County Waste Reduction and Recycling Initiative apply to the County of Alameda, as an entity, and to unincorporated areas within the county.

StopWaste.Org has prepared an Amended Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for Mandatory Recycling and Single Use Bag Reduction Ordinances. For purposes of this EIR, StopWaste.Org is the Alameda County Waste Management Authority. After completion of the EIR process, the Alameda County Waste Management Authority, as the lead agency, will be the entity responsible for considering approval of the two ordinances.
