Alameda County Source Reduction & Recycling Plan

Measure D (the Alameda County Source Reduction and Recycling Initiative Charter Amendment) requires a plan to be prepared for reaching a 75% and beyond diversion goal. The Alameda County Source Reduction and Recycling Plan Vision 2010: 75% and Beyond  (Recycling Plan) identifies specific programs, objectives and strategies for the county to reach this goal. The Recycling Plan describes the Agency's long-range thinking and vision and outlines specific strategies the Agency will use in leading the county to a more sustainable future. In developing the plan, we consulted a wide variety of concerned public agencies and the public. The Recycling Plan was adopted in January, 2003 and updated in 2006. Modifications adopted March 2007 by the Authority and Recycling Boards.
