ReScape Qualifications and Trainings

Request a StopWaste Scholarship for ReScape Trainings

StopWaste offers partial scholarships for ReScape California trainings for employees of its Member Agencies (the County of Alameda, the 14 cities in the county, and two sanitary districts). The scholarship provides a tuition offset and reduces course price significantly. Check out ReScape's upcoming classes and apply for a StopWaste scholarship.

WELO Enforcement Training

StopWaste offers enforcement training materials related to the Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance. Resources include materials from StopWaste's past WELO Enforcement Training webinar, available for download.

Technical Resources and Guides

StopWaste distributes comprehensive professional resources:

  • Bay-Friendly Landscape Guidelines: A 68-page publication presenting guidance, best practices, and resources for the design, construction, and maintenance of high-performance landscapes.
  • Mulch Guide: Detailed information on mulch selection and application (available in English and Spanish).
  • Recycled Content Guide: Explains how to reduce waste and create beautiful landscapes using salvaged and recycled-content materials.
  • WELO Toolkit: Includes model checklists, a water budget/water use calculator, and a permit counter brochure.

ReScape Rated Landscapes Program

The ReScape California Rated Landscapes program recognizes excellence in sustainable landscape design, construction, and maintenance. Available materials include quick-start guides, program overviews, and a searchable database of rated projects.
