Tandi Family Farms Sheet Mulching Party Workday

Tandi Family Farms is helping build new satellite urban farms in the community through their Victory Garden Project, including a new farm in the Oakland! On Saturday February 21st from 11-5, the community is invited to join Tandi and the Beloved Communities Network to help convert a lawn into an urban farm using the technique of sheet mulching (cardboard, compost, and mulch), with an educational demonstration by Lori Caldwell of StopWaste. A community meal will be provided after the work at sunset, and folks are asked to bring gloves, water, hat/sunscreen, and camping chair! This is a family friendly event.
