You may appeal a citation within 30 calendar days of the date it was issued.
How to File
- Complete the Request for Appeal of Administrative Citation Form (included with your citation letter).
- Pay the full fine amount as a deposit/bond — by credit or debit card at CitationProcessingCenter.com, or by check.
- Mail the completed form and deposit (if paying by check) to: StopWaste – Citation Processing Center, P.O. Box 7275, Newport Beach, CA 92658-7275.
Online submission of the appeal form is not currently available.
What to Expect
- You will receive a hearing notice by certified mail at least 10 calendar days before the hearing.
- Present your case and any supporting documentation at the hearing.
Outcome
- If you prevail: Your deposit is returned.
- If you do not prevail: The deposit is forfeited as payment of the fine.
