What to Expect
When You Arrive
- Pull up and stay in your vehicle — that's state law
- Place items in your unlocked trunk or cargo area before arriving
- Staff will verify your Alameda County residency by scanning your ID
ID Requirements
Bring one of the following showing your Alameda County address:
- Driver's license or state ID
- Recent utility bill
- Rental or ownership agreement
Quantity Limits
- Per visit: 125 pounds or 15 gallons total
- Per container: 5 gallons or 50 pounds max
- Containers must be sturdy, sealed, and leak-proof
Important Notes
- This service is for Alameda County residents only — not for businesses. Businesses should use the Business Hazardous Waste Service.
- Waste must be transported by the household resident — not a hauler or third party.
- Facilities are closed on major holidays. Check before visiting on or near holiday dates.
