Request for Proposals - StopWaste Rooftop HVAC Upgrade - Feb 2024
The Alameda County Waste Management Authority (ACWMA) intends to enter into a contract to install new heat pump HVAC units at the agency’s office located at 1537 Webster Street, Oakland, CA 94612. We reserve the right to reject all bids.

A non-mandatory bid walk for contractors interested in bidding on the project will be hosted at the StopWaste office at 8:30AM on Tuesday February 20th, 2024. The StopWaste office is located at 1537 Webster Street, Oakland, CA 94612.
Sealed bids for this project will be received by Arliss Dunn, Clerk of the Board, at 1537 Webster Street, Oakland, CA 94612 until 8:30AM on Thursday March 7th, 2024, at which time they will be publicly opened and read. The bid opening can be remotely attended via Zoom though this link.
Bids must be made on the proposal forms included in the bid documents. The sealed envelope should be clearly marked with the name of the project and the time of the bid opening. Contracts will be executed by Timothy Burroughs, Executive Director of the Alameda County Waste Management Authority (ACWMA).

- Does the existing gas line on the roof need to be removed?
Yes, the gas line needs to be removed and properly disposed of/recycled. It must be capped at the roof penetration.
- Can a 120v HPWH heater be specified?
Yes, a 120v heat pump water heater on a dedicated circuit with a minimum 60gal capacity may be specified. Per current docs, 240v is OK to specify as well.
